Mocha Chia Pudding

Chia is a seed that comes from a flowering plant from the mint family. Native to Mexico and Guatemala they are a rich source of omega 3 fatty acids. Omega fatty acids help support cardiovascular health, joint and muscle inflammation and cognitive health- It is said that fatty acids can help reduce dementia.

2T White Chia Seeds
1/2 - 1t instant coffee granules, depending on desired strength
1t hot water
1c  chocolate soymilk
2T Hershey's chocolate syrup

Measure 2 Tbsp of Chia seeds into a 2 cup shaker or any container with a lid. In a measuring cup add instant coffee granules & 1 tsp of hot water to dissolve. To coffee add 1c light chocolate soymilk and pour mixture over Chia seeds. Place lid on shaker or container and shake pudding mixture to prevent clumping of seeds. Place container in fridge for 5 minutes, then shake again. Place container in fridge for at least 4 hours so seeds will soak up liquid and swell. When pudding has reached desire consistency stir in sugar free chocolate syrup and serve.

Colour Trend- Oxblood

Oxblood- As a colour it dates back to 1695. Recently is has become quite popular among ‘the cool kids of fashion’ since it was first used in Fall/Winter 2012 runway shows. I personally love oxblood. The dark wine colour seems so decadent.

If you want to hop of the band wagon but are a little scared like I was, start incorporating it by using a lipstick (Like Rimmel’s 107) or a new handbag or some stunning heels.

When I finally grow up and buy a house, I want an oxblood feature wall.

Yes, trends do come and go, but somehow Oxblood seems so timeless.
